Chapter 1
“Anne!” yelled someone from behind. “Wait for me!”
Anne stopped and turned to see who was coming towards her.
“What’s wrong Becky?” asked Anne once Rebecky was near enough for her not to scream.
“Can I walk home with you?”
“Of course.”
They started walking once Rebecky had caught her breath. They were almost at the intersection before their houses when they heard someone running in back of them. They turned around to see a boy from their class.
“Hey Richard,” called Anne when he was near enough to hear them.
“Anne, Becky, is there any other way we could go to reach our houses?” asked Richard almost panicking.
“Why what’s wrong Ricky?” demanded Anne putting her hand on Richard’s shoulder to calm him down.
Richard just looked at the two girls in front of him and handed Anne an opened envelope. Anne took it and took the letter out. Rebecky read over Anne’s shoulder. The letter read a warning to the three pre-teen’s parents. It said; If you do anything about the previous letter we sent you, you can say goodbye to your children forever.
“Of course it isn’t signed,” muttered Anne shoving the letter into her backpack. “Let’s keep going, there’s no other way home. Ricky tell us where and how you found the letter.”
“I found it on the ground, I think it was the new kid, Andrew’s, mother who dropped it after she picked him up at school. I picked it up with the intention of dropping it off on my way by,” explained Richard. “On the way over here, I got curious on why she was in a hurry, so I opened the letter and read it. After I saw you and I ran to tell you.”

“Okay, so you mean that instead of running to go see an adult you ran to us?” demanded Anne. When Richard nodded Anne swore.
“Annie,” warned Rebecky.
“Sorry, but this is just so frustrating,” apologized Anne. “We have to hurry and…..”
“Too late,” chuckled a voice behind Anne. “You three are our first children since that letter. I guess we’re having a lot of luck today.”
“Richard run!” yelled Anne before falling into the blackness.

Chapter 2
Richard never got away in time because Anne’s warning came too late, someone had already grabbed him from behind. He was already tired and when he stopped fighting his captor he was exhausted. Richard was so exhausted that he welcomed the darkness in which he was forced in by his captors.
